inuwat AG becomes part of ELIQUO WATER GROUP GmbH
On February 16, 2026, the ELIQUO WATER GROUP acquired a majority stake in inuwat Holding GmbH, based in Kasendorf. Three of the original founders will remain minority shareholders for the coming years.
inuwat Holding is the sole owner of inuwat AG. Together with Richter Steuerungstechnik and W.E.T., inuwat AG pursues the goal of actively contributing to the protection of water and energy resources. By treating different water qualities to a usable standard using state-of-the-art automation technology and sustainable water cycle and recycling solutions, the company makes an important contribution to securing our natural resources. In the field of automation technology, they position themselves as a reliable partner and supplier for both industry and mechanical and plant engineering, thereby continuously expanding their role as a development partner for plant engineering in the areas of design, plant construction, and software.
inuwat AG employs a total of approximately 150 people at its headquarters in Kasendorf and at an additional production site in Czechia. Richter Steuerungstechnik and W.E.T. will operate as independent companies under the ELIQUO WATER GROUP.
Richter Steuerungstechnik GmbH supplies modern control and automation technology. With this acquisition, we are expanding our existing production capacities for switch cabinets within the group, thereby specifically strengthening our capacities and expertise in switchgear manufacturing. Richter Steuerungstechnik GmbH thus forms another important pillar in the field of manufacturing high-quality electrical engineering systems, complementing our existing switch cabinet production at ELIQUO KGSTULZ GmbH in Torgau.
W.E.T. supplies membrane filtration systems for the treatment of swimming pool water and drinking water. This expands our portfolio to include municipal swimming pools and smaller modular drinking water treatment plants. In addition, W.E.T. is already a strategic partner of our sister company EnviroProcess in Scandinavia.
“With this acquisition, we are specifically strengthening our expertise in sustainable water treatment and automation technology. The companies' know-how and technological expertise ideally complement our portfolio and support our long-term focus on resource-saving solutions,” explains Gauke Reitsma, Managing Director of the ELIQUO WATER GROUP.
"The majority stake acquired by ELIQUO WATER GROUP in our company is a stroke of luck for our employees and the Kasendorf site. The ELIQUO WATER GROUP's corporate network offers additional opportunities and possibilities for successfully placing our products on the water market. This provides long-term support for our efforts to secure and expand jobs in the long term," adds Michael Otte, CEO of inuwat AG and managing director of Richter and W.E.T.
